Yes yes yes, back from my desert trip and the end of my semester.

Whew! It was a LOT of fun, as well as exhausting, so much hiking and exploring and setting up/taking down campsites and cooking and cleaning and catching things. Went to so many great places and saw so many amazing animals.

I'll be slowly uploading more pics here as I have time, I'm busy catching up with my business and will be starting a full time job.

A CUSTOM ORDER REMINDER:
My prices depend on the size and complexity of the species in question. Therefore it can be quite difficult to give general price ranges.

However, these are my general minimum prices:
Small (6" to 9"): $35
Medium (10" to 15"): $50
Large (16"+): $80

The prices go up from there depending on how many body parts and details there are, especially if it requires a lot of hand sewing. However there is also some flexibility, like if you just want a big long worm, it'll be less than $80.

I take requests for most types of animals, but please, no mammals! Unless they're really quite fascinatingly strange. I do NOT do puppies, kittens, bunnies, etc.

Fair game are insects, arachnids, other invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, fish, aquatic invertebrates, and extinct creatures.

For quotes or more details send me a note!

***How it works***
I prefer to sell through my shop on Etsy.com [link]
It's very easy to sign up (you just need an email address), and the checkout system takes you to payment through paypal. If you absolutely don't want to use Etsy, I can send paypal email requests.

I ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL AS PAYMENT. For custom orders I require half payment up front, and the rest upon completion.

For etsy custom orders you MUST USE THE CUSTOM/ALCHEMY FEATURE. This way Etsy gets the appropriate fees. You can click the "Request Custom Item" on my etsy page to fill out details.

You may request priority mail shipping, otherwise the default will be first class (always with delivery confirmation).

New York State residents! There is sales tax! It depends on your county, so if you place an order please alert me if you're in NY and give me your address so I can calculate sales tax.

You would appreciate this: We were out geocaching today and my wife picked up a cache and a good sized (5 inches) Desert Hairy Scorpion was under it. :D Fun! She was a beauty. When we read the log - the last entry was 3 years old - it noted that there was a scorpion (2 actually) under the cache.

Living in the desert is a blast!

How cool! We didn't get to see any scorpions that big on my desert trip, mostly little bark scorpions. Geocaching sounds fun, I've heard so much about it but have never tried it.

Geocaching is fun. It becomes repetitive, but the FUN part is that you go to new areas that you have not yet been to... so you see new sights, etc. My wife loves it. She is an adventurer.

I wish we had our camera with us, we both forgot our cameras yesterday.

The Hairy scorpions stick to some pretty rough terrain, it is usually pretty rocky. I know of a place in New River where (at night) you just swing your black light around and go "whoa!" This was the first I'd found (accidentally) during the day. :)

Y'know, I have to say you've combined oil and water with your product! :D
a kind of cuddly repulsiveness (which I like! :D)
Hey Brigette! Your stuff is ridiculous! And I mean that in a good way.

Falling in love isn't punk rock.
Is being ridiculous ever a bad thing? Hehe
